Another successful main season at Bear Lake Reserve is complete with the end of the HOA Fall Weekend and 2022 Budget Ratification meeting.
We had excellent attendance at the Club and large numbers on ZOOM as well. Below are the recordings of the three meetings over the weekend; the Club Vision meeting, the Events and Activities meeting, and the HOA Saturday meeting.
Obviously, much of the "bar-talk" this weekend was about the announcement that the property is under contract. Cliffton, from Bank OZK, shared they are not able to communicate much about the upcoming sale, but shared Friday morning his feelings and some thoughts that you may want to watch if you missed it.
For Anne and I, we are very excited about the future of Bear Lake Reserve! I have personally worked closely with this developer for the past 12 months evaluating Bear Lake and this region. Anne and I are moving forward with a large expansion on our house at Bear Lake and continue to look to invest into Jackson County and the community. We have a strong belief in this development group and the future of this area.
This is a huge project, and as Cliffton stated, it will take months of due diligence, so there won't be any details to update you on for some time, as a closing is not expected until next year. However, when there are details that can be shared, we will make sure we communicate them to you as promptly as possible.
Bear Essential Club Management (BECM), the company I formed to operate Bear Lake for Bank OZK, will remain running the property throughout the transaction and will continue to operate and grow Bear Lake with the new developer. As such, there are no plans for any major changes. I will continue to be the President & General Manager, Scott Third will be our COO and Ben Platt the CFO.
